The mythology speaks of the beautiful nymph Clytia in love with the god of the god of the sun, Apollo.

Her love for him was so strong that she remained motionless all day in a field to watch his beloved across the sky in his chariot of fire.

Slowly her body stiffened turning into a stem, and his hair turned into a yellow corolla, she was transformed into a beautiful flower color of gold, the sunflower.

And even in its new form the nymph in love still continues to follow his love during the tour of the sky.

La mitologia parla della bellissima ninfa Clizia innamorata del dio del solo Apollo.

Il suo amore per lui era così forte che restava tutti i giorni immobile in mezza ad un campo ad osservare il suo amato che attraversava il cielo sul suo carro di fuoco.

Pian piano il suo corpo si irrigidì trasformandosi in uno stelo, e i suoi capelli diventarono una gialla corolla, si era trasformata in un fiore bellissimo color dell'oro, il girasole.

Ed anche nella sua nuova forma la ninfa innamorata continua ancora oggi a seguire il suo amore durante il giro del cielo.
